One World & One Community

Our volunteers are helping refugees at the Texas/Mexico border. In the last year, over a million people were apprehended by border protection which indicates the highest number of crossings ever recorded. Support is needed on both sides to aid with emergency conditions in the U.S. and Mexico.

Facts about Water

  • 783 million people do not have access to clean and safe water worldwide
  • 2.4 billion people are without improved sanitation facilities
  • In developing countries, 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions

Things you can do to save this precious resource:

  • take shorter showers
  • check your toilet for leaks
  • don’t run your dishwasher or do laundry until you have a full load
  • avoid bottled water
  • volunteer to clean trash along your local beach/river/pond/lake
